The Kryptonite New York Lock Fahgettaboudit Mini U-Lock features a 18 mm hardened max performance steel shackle with a double deadbolt anti-rotation design that resists bolt cutters and twisting leverage attacks. There is also a steel sleeve over the cross bar for double security. The lock’s disc-style cylinder with center keyway is protected by a vinyl coating and is pick and drill resistant. The keyway also features a sliding dust cover to protect the cylinder from dirt and debris when not in use. It includes three stainless steel keys with an ergonomic design to reduce torque and keep them from bending or breaking. One of the keys has an LED key fob for added visibility in the dark.     This lock is thick and heavy. My rating for 4 stars is simply because I wish it was a tad bit longer. I wanted to use this to lock my ebike wheel to the frame. It probably would lock to the bike and post.The aventon ebike frame is thick and with the fender in the way, to lock the wheel to the bike, I could only lock the back wheel to the “forks” holding the wheel. It’s thin metal so obviously I would’ve preferred that the wheel lock reached the thicker park of the frame. I am still scared to leave my bike unattended.It is much thicker than my old one.

    I had my motor scooter stolen last year. The thief cut the u lock I had on it. So after looking at many reviews I decided to go with this one and a 16mm chain so now the weak point in the slightly "smaller" chain lol. This u lock is massive and very heavy so keep that in mind. But it does fit under my seat with plenty of room for gear. After owning the lock for over a year and having it out in the rain and extreme hot/cold it still functions as if it was new. I do put a drop of 3 in 1 lube in the key hole every few months but its has never given me trouble like other disk detainer mechanisms I've had in the past. This lock also has the updated core that has more disks and they tension off a disk father in, instead of the first disk making it harder to pick. But honestly nobody is going to be picking it.

    This lock is a huge step up from my old random chain lock I had. The lock has 3 keys total making it very nice in case you lose any and the product feels super secure. I trust this lock to protect my electric scooter for when I take it to school. The lock has some weight to it but nothing that would be considered crazy. I’ve been using it for around 2 months and have zero complaints. The price was a little steep but after using this lock it feels entirely justified and worth spending the money to protect my electric scooter.

    My son's Gary Fisher 29er was stolen during his freshman year in college. I was foolish enough to think a coated cable lock was sufficient. After all, he is going to a top notch college in a very nice neighborhood with very low crime. His bike lasted 3 months... So, when we bought him a new bike (albeit cheaper than the first one!), we decided to up our game. The reviews for this lock were all exceptional, so I picked it. The campus police officer who saw it said it was probably overkill; overkill is what I wanted!

    It weighs 4-5 lbs, so be prepared for that. Buy a bike mount - there are several. We chose the one that mounts to the handlebar, there are others that mount to the frame In our case, the lock would not physically fit in the triangle of the frame without removing the water bottle holder and other mods. The handlebar mount works fine, but be sure to put it near the center so it doesn't throw the bike off balance.

    NOBODY will try to cut this lock. Given a few hours with a hacksaw or perhaps a plasma torch, they could cut through. But it's a bike, not a Tiffany diamond, so once they see this thing, they will walk away and find another, far easier, target of opportunity. Lastly, buy a cable lock or two so you can protect the tires.

    Okay so I just ordered this yesterday and somehow it was delivered to. So you get a temp 5 star for now because next day shipping is an A+ especially during covid 19 lockdowns.

    I will update this review in a few weeks and again in a couple months.

    So firstly this lock comes with ANTI Theft insurance type protection for 1 year free or $9.99 for 2 years now its important you register your bike within 30 days of your purchase this is very important if you want the insurance like coverage.

    I only ordered my bike today butI recieved this item today so I called to find out.

    Now I watched several reviews on this particular lock and literally uts damn near undefeatebale without making a ton of noise or being a pretty damn skilled locksmith with specialty custom lock pick tools, although from what I've read the locking mechanism is not the best there is im but it's not bad either from the many reviews I've gone through.

    Out the box everything locks and unlocks smoothly and it comes with 1 led light key and 2 backup keys the lock and an instruction manual for the lock and w mm1 for the key.

    Be sure to register your key incase you ever lose yours.

    I'll review this again at a later time

    En cuestión del peso no se siente excesivamente pesado, en la mochila lo pude llevar perfectamente y no me causaba molestias

    El pero más grande que en verdad quien lea esto lo tome en cuenta es que para un bike mtb sinceramente no conviene. No puedes asegurar el cuadro con la llanta trasera al poste donde vayas a dejar la bici, no da!! Se queda muy muy corto. La única manera es asegurando solo alguna parte del cuadro dejando libres las llantas y aun así dependiendo del poste puede ni siquiera llegar a cerrar y eso es un gran problema.

    Reitero qué el problema es más para las bikes de mtb ya qué las llantas son más gruesas. Quizá para una urbana o de ruta no haya tanto problema. Ese sería el único detalle enorme qué le vi.

    Tendré que adquirir la versión más alargada de este mismo modelo de 18mm qué aunque esté más caro ya no tendré Tanto problema al aparcar la bici dejando la llanta trasera asegurada.

    La verdad vale cada centavo de lo que cuesta y se da a notar muchísimo.

    Reitero qué el problema es más para las bikes de mtb ya qué las llantas son más gruesas. Quizá para una urbana o de ruta no haya tanto problema. Ese sería el único detalle enorme qué le vi.

    Tendré que adquirir la versión más alargada de este mismo modelo de 18mm qué aunque esté más caro ya no tendré Tanto problema al aparcar la bici dejando la llanta trasera asegurada.

    La verdad vale cada centavo de lo que cuesta y se da a notar muchísimo.

    Das Schloss ist sehr Schwer und auch klobig, das sollte jeden klar sein. Aber es macht daher einen sehr sicheren Eindruck. Bisher hat sich dort noch niemand zu schaffen gemacht.
    Es funktioniert einwandfrei, und gibt mir ein sicheres Gefühl. Mittlerweile gehe mit ruhigem Gewissen gerne Einkaufen, und lasse mein teures E-Bike gerne etwas länger Unbeaufsichtigt. BESTELLUNG AUFGEGEBEN
    31. Dezember 2022, und es funktioniert noch wie am ersten Tag. Nur leiden habe ich noch keine passende Halterung gefunden, und daher macht es den Transport immer etwas schwierig. Würde es dennoch aber immer wieder kaufen, und empfehle es gern weiter.
